It goes by too quickly...

As parents ourselves, we understand how quickly children grow up and what a gift each day is. As a portrait artist, my passion is to help families beautifully--and authentically--record their histories through personal, original works of  photographic art.
I've heard from so many busy parents--especially moms--who are saddened that they aren't in more pictures with their children. They worry that time will pass by and their children won't have anything beautiful with them to look back on.
When you commission us, we take care of every singe detail for you. Whether it's a tender portrait of you with your six grandchildren or a collection of matted prints of you and your children, we won't be satisfied unless you are delighted.

About Jennifer Lindberg

Jenn is a Cambridge University dropout who got her start shooting hard-hitting photojournalism. Her work has been published in the New York Times, US News & World Report, Marie Claire and 19 Magazine UK. She won a "Picture of the Year" award from the National Press Photographers Association for her portrait of an AIDS orphan in Mozambique. Jenn started shooting weddings as an antidote to her day job. Being surrounded by beauty made a welcome change from the gritty realism of photojournalism, and in 2001 she made weddings a full-time career. Her work is characterized by an unobtrusive intuitive sense for just the right moment. While Jenn's main focus at weddings is on people and moments, she also has an enduring love for bridal shoes! Jenn lives with her husband and business partner, Jim, in their Victorian home in Lockhart, Texas, with their two amazing kids, adopted from China. Jenn also has an awesome stepdaughter who is in Med School at Pitt. Jenn and Jim live in a perpetual state of restoration as they lovingly update both their 131-year-old "Painted Lady," and complete the remodel of their historic Studio on the square in Lockhart, built in 1900.

About Jim Pitts

With a background in engineering and management consultancy, perhaps Jim is an unlikely wedding photographer. But truth, as they say, is stranger than fiction. Jim studied photography in college and when he met Jenn in 2006, he started assisting her on weekends to spend more time together. When they got married in 2008, Jim gave up corporate life and devoted himself to photography full time. He loves capturing parents' expressions as they watch the couple's first dance and Jim is also often asked for by name to put in brides' veils at weddings! Jim grew up on a family farm in Iowa and also spent a couple of years in Japan, so he's a pretty Zen guy, low key and patient. When he's not taking photographs, he turns his creativity to woodworking and meticulously restoring the Victorian home he shares with Jenn, and now also on their historic Studio on Lockhart's Main Square. Jim is proud to have a daughter in Medical School who is also serving in the U.S. military, and dotes on a couple of adorable kids he adopted with Jenn.

About Jennifer Lindberg

Jenn gave up her studies at Cambridge University to dedicate herself to shooting hard-hitting photojournalism. Her work has been published in the New York Times, US News & World Report, Marie Claire and many others. She won a coveted "Picture of the Year" award from the National Press Photographers Association for her portrait of an orphan in Mozambique impacted by Civil War and AIDS. Jenn started photographing weddings & portraits as an antidote to the suffering she witnessed as a photojournalist. Being surrounded by beauty and connection made a welcome change from the gritty realism of her work as a photojournalist.
In 2012, Jenn became a mom through adoption, growing her family with a beautiful son and daughter from China. Becoming a mother shifted her creative focus to families. Today Jenn passionately documents relationships and connection in families. Her portraits--including the posed ones--are characterized by a relaxed authenticity. She lives with her husband and partner, Jim, in their Victorian home in Lockhart, Texas, with their two children. They love visits with Jenn's wonderful stepdaughter who is an ER physician in the US Army. They recently purchased and restored a historic building on the town square that is now a Destination Studio for families from all over Texas.  Slowly but surely their lives are looking less and less like and HGTV show!

Jim studied photography in college and when he met Jenn in 2006, he started assisting her on weekends to spend more time together. When they got married in 2008, Jim gave up corporate life and devoted himself to photography full time. He loves capturing those small moments that unfold quickly and he has become a lighting expert, both for outdoor and Studio Portraits. Jim grew up on a family farm in Iowa and also spent a couple of years in Japan, so he's a pretty Zen guy, low key and patient. When he's not taking photographs, he turns his creativity to woodworking and meticulously restoring the Victorian home he shares with Jenn. He has also been involved in remodeling their historic Studio on Lockhart's Main Square, hand scraping the long leaf pine floors that were discovered upstairs. Jim is proud to have a daughter who is completing her Medical Residency while also serving in the U.S. military, and dotes on a couple of adorable kids he adopted with Jenn.

I’ve now worked with Jenn and her husband, Jim, twice--most recently in their Studio. Both shoots produced the most stunning works of art. They made me feel so comfortable and relaxed, which is very difficult to do when you are not a model. They go above and beyond for their clients and are the only photographers that I trust to capture me genuinely and beautifully!

Brooke Pappas

The portrait combines the realism of a high-quality photograph with the depth and physical dimension of an oil painting, in the spirit of Caravaggio or Rembrandt. As the subject, it's a surreal experience to study its fine details, captured so faithfully that you're almost immediately transported back to the excitement of that day, but then to step back, take in the work as a whole, and realize that its subtle contrasts in lighting, varied brushstroke textures, and impossibly rich colors make it truly reminiscent of an "Old Masters" portrait from long ago.

Dr. Robin Han

Thank you, Jenn Lindberg, for such a soulful portrait of Austin and Owen. My heart is bursting.

Robyn Eckermann

The best; reunions, family portraits, weddings all done exquisitely.

David Kultgen

I've had these portraits  for about a week and cry every time I look at them. Because of the people they are. But also at how fast it's going by.
I love that the first time Jenn took photos of C she was 5 months old. G was minutes old as she met us at the hospital @ 4am. They are themselves with her. Love that.

Ann Patton

We cannot wait to display them in their frames around the house. JENN!!! HOW DO YOU DO THAT?? You all are so amazingly gifted!! Love, love, love. Tearing up...
