Getting to know your family and the unique personalities involved as well as your aesthetic preference is a critical part of the JL experience. Some families prefer to capture moments, while others like a more posed yet still relaxed portrait with everyone looking into the camera, looking their best.
Most families prefer a blend of both. We can assist you with clothing recommendations and determining the ways you would most like to enjoy your finished portraits. Being commissioned to create portraits for our clients that they will enjoy on their walls and in their homes for years to come is a true privilege and joy for us.
the consultation
We are planners. We leave little to chance. A custom family portrait begins with a phone call where we begin to learn about your family, your aesthetic preferences and your children's personalities before the photo session ever happens. We're also Artists. We cannot wait to show you how we see you and your loved ones, with our artistic vision. Your family portraits should take your breath away.
your photo session
We've planned our your photo session in advance and taken care of all the details. This helps everyone to relax and have fun! We'll guide you every step of the way, giving you prompts and poses. This is your time to enjoy your family and entrust us with creating gorgeous custom portraits that will only become more precious to you as the years pass.
the selection
You're invited to a special cinematic presentation of your portraits via Zoom. This unique process allows you to reflect on the beauty of your family and identify your favorite images easily. After reviewing your portraits with you, we'll help as you select your favorites and take care of any orders at this fun and celebratory meeting.
delivery day
Your order is ready and your artwork has arrived! Perhaps you selected a gorgeous matte wall piece to go above your mantle, or a matted print collection for a gallery wall in your home. Your artwork is lovingly packaged and shipped directly to you so that you can start enjoying it now and for decades--even generations-- to come.
